Next New
Over the years, there have been new additions to new media. I think the next new thing for new media could be holographic messages. Instead of calling or texting, people may be able to record and send others a holographic message or even card that includes both audio and visuals. We can already communicate with one another through video conferencing, so it seems that with an advancement in technology, we can work on developing holograms.
This is a very interesting new media invention but I have a question. How would these holographic messages work? Would they be broadcasted in the sky? What happens if everyone is broadcasting holographic messages all at once? What purpose does the holographic serve that isn't already established? We can record videos and send it to the person which is essentially the same thing.
ReplyDeleteWow! I think this is a really interesting idea. I'm aware of music concerts that put up holographic images of artists that have passed. It would be amazing if we could bring this to everyday life. I can envision this being a really cool app although I'm not sure how it works. This idea does make me wonder what the benefits to holographic messages are versus a normal video message on Skype would be.
ReplyDeleteThanks Michelle. I was thinking about this for a while before writing it. I think that health is the most important in our lives. Without great health, anyone will be at great risk for many challenges that plague us today. I am hoping that a new idea for health improvement can come to light and help many worldwide.
DeleteI think that is a great idea; we can use this form of communication with the benefits of convenience and speed of the message sent. Technology is such a great medium for everyone in today's world; with the endless ways technology can advance, this field will be a magnificent way to communicate and connect worldwide.
ReplyDeleteWow, I really like this idea. Of course it's a little frightening to imagine being in Times Square while everyone is looking at their holographic messages. But the thought is kind of awesome. Imagine laying on your sofa talking to your significant other who's far from you and you're able to get a 3d holographic message or even FaceTime with 3d presence. Would be awesome!
