Social media has impacted various aspects of our lives and has a huge influence on how we engage with one another. In our fast-paced world, people are constantly looking for ways to save time. The growth of digitalization has caused a shift in the way we communicate with each other and I will touch upon whether or not the use of social media platforms has a positive or negative effect on society. With the various methods of virtual communications available, the way we engage with others are changing as we experience less face-to-face interactions. We can now have conversations with someone halfway around the world, but the relationships we form through social media tend to have weaker ties.
I think you have a very interesting topic but it is very broad and very general. The potential output for this topic seems infinite, that you would not be able to create a complete work. Maybe you can try focusing on how people are spending more time on social media, but feel more lonely. You may also consider focusing on how people are unable to hold normal face-to-face interactions because of the rise of social media.
